In addition to the commonly known and used silicone spray, silicone boards are available on the market, as well, and those can be milled on CNC machines.
Silicone cutting - machining and milling
The most common application of silicone in this form is, the same as in the case of silicones in other forms, the execution of technical seals. In addition to this type of products, there are a whole lot of others, such as rings, washers, stoppers and all kinds of silicone elements made for a specific design and for specific application. Cutting out a solid silicone is definitely not a challenge for a CNC cutter – precise and accurate reproduction of the ordered shape is guaranteed. Appropriate physical properties of the silicone board, such as chemical inertness or water resistance, combined with precision of manufacture, allow you to obtain a perfect product.
